Welcome again! My name is Alex and today we make a South Asian (Indian) dish which is called Paneer Tikka. It’s basically made with cottage cheese cube and we also known as this India cottage cheese. Whenever I’m too hungry and I’m craving to eat something spicy and tangy, I always making this indigenous and delicious dish paneer tikka at home. Ingredients for Paneer Tikka BBQ

Now it’s time to gathering all the ingredients, first we need 200g paneer (Indian cottage cheese), One bell pepper, 1 red onion, 1 tomato, and skewers (wooden or metal). And also not forget ingredient for making marinade, for marinade first we need 1 cup thick yogurt (curd), 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp chaat masala, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter and last but least Salt to taste.

Making the Marinade

Let’s making the Marinade, first of all take a bowl. Combine 1 cup of yogurt and all the marinade ingredients which we gather previously. And mixing well to form a smooth paste. Now after that let’s jump to next step.

Now it’s time to adding paneer and vegetables in to the marinade. First add the paneer cubes, bell pepper, onion, and tomato to the marinade. Gently mix everything is well coated. And cover this, you can also keep in refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This step is crucial for the flavors to seep in.

Now it’s time to assemble our skewers. Thread the marinated paneer, bell pepper, onion and tomatoes onto the skewers, alternating between vegetable and paneer cubes. Look at those vibrant colors.

Last but not least, now we reach the interesting part of our cooking journey. Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally. Baste with oil or butter to keep them moist. We’re looking for a slight char on the paneer and veggies.   • 200g paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cut into cubes

  • 1 bell pepper, cut into squares

  • 1 red onion, cut into squares

  • 1 tomato, deseeded and cut into squares

  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

  • For the marinade:

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp garam masala
