Hello foodies….. 🙂 welcome back again to our blog tasty fry. I hope you all are good. Today i have brought you veg recipe of Mushroom tikka masala. Which is veg alternate of our previous recipe of chicken tikka. If you don’t like mushrooms, then try this recipe once, you wil like it very much.

About mushroom tikka masala

Mushroom Tikka Masala is a delicious vegetarian curry made by marinated mushrooms with curd, spices and herbs. This dish is easy to make in oven, gas, pan or kadhai. It’s a popular choice served with naan or rice.

How to make mushroom tikka masala

Marination of mushrooms

Firstly clean mashrooms with water. If your mushrooms have more dirt, then you can rub mushrooms with flour and wash them again. Then cut mushrooms into quarters.

Now add one tablespoon of oil in a pan. Then add 1-2 tablespoon of besan and roast until golden brown. Now add kashmeeri red chili powder and roast it again at low flame for 1-2 minutes.

Meanwhile add 2-3 tablespoon of thick curd in a bowl and whisk it well. Then we will add our besan and chili powder mixture. Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, kasturi methi and salt as per taste and mix it well. Now add chopped mushrooms then mix it well and keep aside for 10-15 minutes.

Preaparation of gravy and mushrooms

Now add oil in a pan and then Add mushrooms. Then cook all the mushrooms for 2-3 minutes.

Now add 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Then add some jeera and 2 medium sized finely chopped onions. Let it roast until pinkish and then add tomato and cashews puree. Then add ginger garlic paste and let it roast until oil gets seperate. Then add turmeric and red chili powder and after roasting again, add our cooked mushrooms in it.

Mix it well and add 1cup of hot water. Now let this gravy cook for 3-4 minutes in low flame. To enhance taste of gravy or if you want restaurant type taste, then add kitchen king masala at last and mix it well.

Serve

Garnish with some coriander leaves, then serve and enjoy tasty delicious restaurant style yummy mushrooms tikka masala.

  • 250 gm Mushrooms

  • half cup of yogurt

  • 1-2 tbsp. oil

  • Besan

  • 1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste

  • 1 tbsp. kashmeeri red chili

  • Kasturi methi

  • half tbsp. turmeric powder

  • 1 tbsp. cumin seeds

  • salt as per taste

  • kitchen king masala

  • Tomato & cashew puree

Directions

  • Marination of Mushrooms

    Then add kashmeeri red chilli powder and roast it also for 1 minute in low flame.
    Add 2-3 tablespoon of thick curd in a bowl and whisk it well.
    Add besan and chili powder mixture in it.
    Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, kasturi methi and salt and mix it well.
    Then add chopped mushrooms in it and mix it well gently.
    Keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
  • Cooking Mushrooms
    Add 1 tablespoon of oil in a hot pan.
    Add mushrooms and Cook it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Gravy for mushrooms
    Add oil in a pan and add jeera. Then add finely chopped onions and roast it until little pinkish.
    Add tomato and cashews puree in it. Then add ginger garlic paste and cook it until oil seperates.
    Then add turmeric powder and red chili powder and cook it for some minutes.
    Now add cooked mushrooms and add 1 cup of hot water in it.
    Cook it for 3-4 minutes. Then add kitchen king masala for enhance taste of gravy.
    Turn the flame off.
  • Serve
    Serve and enjoy this Tasty Delicious restaurant paneer tikka masala.
