Hello Foodies.. 🙂 Welcome back once again. I am here again with new famous recipe and it is Pineapple curry. Oh ‘yum’ Mouth watered as soon as I heard it… hehe. So This dish came in my mind when i was scrolling my feed. And then suddenly I saw this recipe of Famous Chef Vikas khanna. Pineapple curry, Pineapple puliserry is a mild, sweet and slightly tart curry, made with pieces of freshly cut pineapple, fresh coconut, and yogurt, served as part of the sadhya, a traditional feast of Kerala (India.)
About Pineapple curry
Pineapple curry is a delicious, sweet and also tangy dish found in various Southeast Asian cuisines, including Thai and Indian dishes, that combines the tropical flavor of pineapple with the warming and aromatic spices of curry.
In Thai dishes called Gaeng Sapparot, you can find a coconut-milk based red curry with vegetables and protein, adding layers of spicy, sweet, and creamy tropical flavor, while the Indian take on pineapple curry, Ananas ki Sabzi, pairs pineapple cooked with spices, sometimes in coconut-milk, and is meant to highlight the sweet and tangy notes of pineapple, served as a side dish.
I think that pineapple curry is a variety of dishes that creates an interesting and delicious experience by incorporating contrasting flavors and textures.
How to make pineapple curry
Marinade Pineapple
Firstly cut a pineapple into cubes and then add some chopped curry leaves. Now add red chili powder and turmeric powder. Mix it well.


Preparation of Curry
Add 1 tablespoon of oil in a Pan or Kadhai. Now put mustard seeds, red chili and curry leaves. Then add ginger, garlic and chopped green chili.


Now we will add 3 cups of coconut milk in this. Then add turmeric powder and mix it well. Then immediately add rice flour, lemon and salt according to taste. Stir it well.


Cooking pineapple curry
Now in another pan add 1 tablespoon of oil. Then add our marinated pineapple pieces and some coriander leaves and let it roast.


Now add curry and cook it for 1 minute. Here your tasty pineapple curry is ready in just 5 minutes.

1 tbsp chilli powder
half salt
1 tbsp turmeric
3 mug coconut milk
2 tbsp coconut oil
cumin seeds
rai (Mustard seeds)
ginger
5-6 garlic cloves
2-3 green chllies (chopped)
1 Cup rice flour
lemon
corriander leaves
Directions
- Marinate of Pineapple
Add Pineapple pieces with chopped curry leaves, Salt, Red chili and turmeric powder in a bowl.
Now mix them all. - Preparation of Curry
Add 1 tbsp. of oil in a hot pan.
Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chili.
Add ginger, garlic and Green chili.
Then add coconut milk and turmeric powder.
Now immediately add rice flour, salt and lemon and stir. - Cooking Pineapple curry
Add oil in a hot pan. Then add marinated pineapple and coriander leaves.
Add curry and stir it well. - Serve
Serve and enjoy delicious pineapple curry. You can have it with Rice.
