Ingredients for baking a Delicious Cinnamon Rolls

Now let’s gathering all the ingredients. First of all gathering ingredient for dough, we need 1 cup warm milk, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 and 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast, 3 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup unsalted butter, which are melted, one large egg, and last but not least 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, now for the filling we need 1/4 cup unsalted butter which is softened, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon. And finally for frosting, 4 ounces cream cheese softened, 1/4 cup unsalted butter, one teaspoon vanilla extract, and one and half cup powdered sugar. Now jump to next step

Preparing the Dough

Now it’s time to preparing the dough. Firstly, in a large bowl, dissolve yeast in the warm milk. And let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy. Now time to add sugar, butter, salt, egg, and flour in this bowl. And mix until the dough forms. After that knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Now place the dough in a greased bowl, and cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about one to one and half hours or until it doubles in a size.

Making the Filling

While the dough is rising, let’s prepare the filling. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 16×21 inches. Spread the softened butter over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top. after that jump to next step.

Shaping the Rolls

Now, roll up the dough tightly, than starting from the longer edge. Cut the rolled dough into 12-16 slice, it’s about 1 and 1.5 inches each. Then place the slices in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between them. Cover the dish and let the rolls rise for another 30 to 45 minutes.

Baking the Rolls

Finally we reach here, I mean now time to bake the rolls, Firstly preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). And then bake the rolls for 20 to 25 minutes until they are golden brown. And also don’t eat before making the Icing which we are made in next step.

Making the Icing

While the rolls are baking, let’s prepare the icing. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until the icing is smooth and spreadable. Oh yummy!

Ingredients

  • For the Dough:
  • 1 cup warm milk (110F)

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 & 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • For the Filling:
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

  • For the Frosting:
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions

  • Proof the Yeast: In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.
  • Make the Dough: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and salt. And the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet Ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  • Knead the Dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 to 1 and 1/2 hour
  • Make the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Roll and Fill the Dough: Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a 15x10 inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Spread the softened butter over dough
  • Roll and Cut: Starting from a long side, roll the dough up tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal slice.
  • Arrange and Rise: Place the rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake: Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Make the Frosting: In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  • Frost and Serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly. Frost with the cream cheese frosting and serve warm.
