kcalBlend frozen mango with milk (and optional yogurt/sweetener) for a quick, creamy, and refreshing tropical treat.
Ingredients
1 cup frozen mango chunks (using frozen mango makes the smoothie thick and cold without needing ice)
½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, oat, or soy milk)
¼ cup plain yogurt (dairy or non-dairy) - optional, but adds creaminess and a slight tang
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to your sweetness preference)
A squeeze of lime or lemon juice (optional, enhances the mango flavor)
Directions
- Combine ingredients: In a blender, add the frozen mango chunks, milk, yogurt (if using), sweetener (if using), and lime or lemon juice (if using).
- Blend until smooth: Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to stop the blender a few times and scrape down the sides to ensure everything is well incorporated.
- Adjust consistency (if needed): If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more milk, one tablespoon at a time, and blend again until you reach your desired consistency. If it's not cold enough, you can add a few ice cubes, but this might slightly dilute the flavor.

Notes
- Variations and Add-ins:
Banana: Add ½ a frozen banana for extra creaminess and sweetness.
Pineapple: Include ¼ cup of frozen pineapple chunks for a tropical twist.
Spinach or Kale: Sneak in a handful of spinach or kale for added nutrients. You won't taste it much, especially with the strong mango flavor.
Protein Boost: Add a scoop of your favorite protein powder (vanilla or unflavored works well).
Nut Butter: A tablespoon of almond or peanut butter adds healthy fats and a nutty flavor.
Chia Seeds or Flax Seeds: Stir in a tablespoon of chia seeds or ground flax seeds for extra fiber and omega-3s.
